Cooling on vacation

After a grueling month of temperatures that hovered near zero, the people I was with and I are about to experience a tropical heat wave.  Tropical heat wave may be a bit overdoing it, but it is going to get up into the forties for the next week. Everyone is undoubtedly gleeful about the hot up and it was even the top news on the local news station.  People were gleeful about having an early Spring. The weather reporter reminded them that it was only December so they shouldn’t go overboard. I know the best thing about this brief hot up has more to do with giving the oil furnace a rest for a month or so.  We’ll still be using the oil furnace, but it won’t be running so hard. Our poor oil furnace was having a hard time keeping up to the demand the people I was with and I were putting on it. The control component in our residing room was set to sixty-eight, yet the people I was with and I were unable to get it above sixty-five.  That meant that it was undoubtedly cool in the house. I have to laugh, because they are saying forty-five for the high on Sunday, and almost everyone is acting care about it is summer. One guy said that it was putting him in the mood to go camping. I have camped in forty degree weather, and it is not fun. Of course, everyone don’t use tents nowadays.  They have their travel trailers that have heating and cooling system. If I had camping care about that when I was younger, I may have not disliked camping nearly as much as I do now..
