I really don’t like the cold

I can’t tell you how much I don’t like the cold.  The winter was never my friend. It seemed every time it snowed or iced over I seemed to get hurt in one way or another.  When I was younger, I would love sitting inside next to the heater reading, keeping warm. I remember one Winter we had a really bad snow storm.  If I remember correctly there were almost 2 feet of snow! Of course, I grabbed my sled and out the door, I went once the storm was over. Needless to say, I ended up breaking my arm and having to wear a partial cast until I could see the doctor to put on my real cast the next day.  But to make it worse, that night was one of the worst! The heater stopped running, in the dead of winter. The house got cold quickly as my uncle tried to fix the heating system and get the heater repaired that night. However, he wasn’t a heater repairman. So, there was nothing else he could do.  He ended up calling in a heater repair technician from a local HVAC business. However, they couldn’t come out until the next day! We all snuggled under mountains of electrically heated blankets, heating pads, and each other to stay warm that night. Luckily the heater repair technician came early that morning.  After he spent some time looking at the unit he spoke with my Uncle. He said the heater is very old and that he may want to update his heating system. The HVAC technician got our heat running again, and it felt wonderful as warmth filled the house. After the snow had melted, my uncle was a man of his word and updated his heating system with a brand new heater installation.
